Located next to the Pelješac peninsula, the islands of Lastovo and Korčula. It is known since ancient times and is first mentioned in the 4th century BC. In the central part of the island’s coast there is a natural geomorphologic phenomenon Jama (Odysseus cave), which binds to the legend of Odysseus who after a shipwreck hid in a cave in which he was captured by ninfa Calypso.
