Trogir – a city which is located on the mainland part of the Adriatic Sea close to Split. A city with 2300 years long tradition, with rich history created under the influence of the Greeks, Romans and Venetians. Trogir, with its concentration of palaces, towers, church fortresses is called the Stone of beauty or a City museum. After the fall of the Roman Empire Trogir started to develop as an independent city. The Croats settled Trogir the sixth century. The city can be particularly proud of its architecture, because every prominent builder has left its mark in Trogir. Accordingly, Trogir became a part of UNESCO – World Heritage Committee.
